Experience exciting math shifts at the Summer 2025 math professional learning at the San Joaquin County Office of Education!  Dive into the principles and practical ideas from Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics by Peter Liljedahl.  Learn how to plan multi-dimensional lessons and incorporate approaches that have proven to transform practices using your grade level math content: TK-12 Classrooms A light breakfast and lunch will be provided! The Station Rotation Model

This course introduces educators to the station rotation model—a flexible, student-centered framework that makes it easier to meet the needs of diverse learners while freeing teachers to work directly with small groups. By rotating students through a teacher-led station, an online station, and an offline station, educators can differentiate instruction, build agency, and create more opportunities for meaningful feedback and connection. Participants will explore how to design each station with intention, manage logistics, and overcome common challenges like large class sizes and short periods. Teaching Untangled: IEPs Untangled

IEPs Untangled is a comprehensive course designed to demystify the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process, providing educators, parents, and advocates with the knowledge and tools needed to develop effective and compliant IEPs. Through a series of modules, participants will explore key components of the IEP, including present levels of performance, goal setting, accommodations and modifications, and placement decisions. The course emphasizes practical strategies and best practices to ensure that IEPs are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, promoting their academic and functional success. By the end of the course, participants will have a clear understanding of how to create meaningful and legally sound IEPs that facilitate positive educational outcomes.
