The Paraprofessional Institute

This institute is a specially designed professional learning opportunity for paraprofessionals who support students across a range of instructional settings, with a particular emphasis on effectively serving English learners. Participants will deepen their understanding of second language acquisition, explore the CA ELD Standards and their role in integrated and designated ELD, and learn practical strategies that help students access grade-level content. A key component of this model is the time between sessions, which allows participants to apply new learning with their students and reflect on their practice.
