Thank you for completing TCSJ's COVID Tracking Form. Based on your responses, below you will find your next steps concerning Teachers College of San Joaquin COVID Protocols.
Protocols
Stay home for at least 5 days after start of symptoms or first day testing positive.
- Isolation can end after Day 5 if symptoms are not present or are resolving AND
- a diagnostic specimen (antigen test preferred) collected on Day 5 or later tests negative; must be fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
- If unable to test, choosing not to test, or testing positive on Day 5 (or later), isolation can end after Day 10 if fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
STUDENTS:
Contact your instructor(s) so you can work together to create a plan for you to stay up to date on your class(es).
FACULTY:
Contact your program coordinator so you can work together to create a plan in your absence.

If you reported that you tested positive for COVID-19, please follow the guidelines below:

- You can end isolation after day 5 if symptoms are not present or are resolving and a COVID test collected on day 5 or later is negative.
- If you are unable to test, or choosing not to test, and symptoms are present or are resolving, isolation can end after day 10.

If you reported that you were exposed to someone with COVID-19 and are symptomatic:
- STAY HOME AND TEST 3-5 DAYS FROM EXPOSURE.
- If testing positive, follow isolation recommendations above.
- If testing negative, isolation can end if fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
- If unable to test, choosing not to test, or testing positive on Day 5 (or later), isolation can end after Day 10 if fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
- STUDENTS - Continue communicating with your instructor(s) so you can stay up to date on your class(es).
- FACULTY - Work with your TCSJ coordinator to create a plan in your absense.
