Pre-Service "Reboot"

Please read the following information carefully. Failure to act will affect your eligibility to begin the IMPACT Intern Program in Fall 2022 or later.

If you began Pre-Service before March 2021, your coursework does not fully align with current content and requirements. TCSJ periodically updates programs based on new standards, requirements, and identified needs. In 2021, the Pre-Service coursework was significantly revised to ensure a smooth and well-articulated transition into the IMPACT Program at TCSJ.

What to Do

Anyone who enrolled in our Pre-Service program between 2016 and March 2021 will need to complete three additional classes—EDUC101, EDUC102, and EDUC103 (totaling 6 units)—to enroll in the IMPACT program. Those who completed Pre-Service before 2016 will need personalized advisement and, at a minimum, the same three courses listed above, plus any additional courses deemed necessary.

Cost

The “reboot” program will be 6 units plus a technology fee. Please refer to our Tuition & Fees page for current unit and technology fee rates.

*Candidates who completed pre-service prior to 2018 may need to complete more than 6 units; therefore, final costs will be determined during advisement.
