These units may help educators move over on the pay scale*! *Always check with your school and/or district prior to purchasing units to ensure they will accept them.

This full-day course is designed to deepen teachers’ understanding of fractions, equipping them with the knowledge and strategies to help students develop meaningful fraction fluency. Through hands-on activities and practical applications, participants will strengthen their ability to support learners in building conceptual understanding leading to fraction fluency. Primary Learning Outcomes: Develop flexibility in thinking about fractions. Learn how to use visual models and multiple representations for operations with fractions. Be prepared to implement hands-on and real world applications that promote fraction fluency.

Experience exciting math shifts at the Summer 2025 math professional learning at the San Joaquin County Office of Education!  Dive into the principles and practical ideas from Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics by Peter Liljedahl.  Learn how to plan multi-dimensional lessons and incorporate approaches that have proven to transform practices using your grade level math content: TK-12 Classrooms A light breakfast and lunch will be provided! The Reading Competency Workshop Series for RICA Prep 101 is a comprehensive, live series through Zoom that gives you everything you need to pass the exam. Three separate workshops are scheduled targeting each of the three required subtests. All domains, competencies, and written responses (including the case study) are covered through a variety of engaging and visual lessons and modules. Students are able to engage with the instructor, ask questions, and clarify their understanding.
