The AI-Empowered Educator: Differentiated Workflows for Creative Breakthroughs

The AI-Empowered Educator is designed for educators interested in learning how to leverage AI as a collaborative “PLC member” to design unit outlines, differentiate materials, and create customized lesson plans. This course recognizes that teachers have different starting lines, providing tailored workflows whether an educator is building from scratch (The Architect), revising existing resources (The Renovator), synthesizing multiple curricula (The Weaver), or adapting a comprehensive program (The Scaffolder). Primary Learning Outcomes Analyze their unique curriculum starting point to select the most efficient AI-assisted workflow for their classroom. Design unit outlines, lesson plans, and engaging hooks by utilizing AI as a collaborative “sparring partner,” demonstrating practical workflows that significantly cut development time Develop differentiated instructional materials and targeted scaffolds that specifically reduce barriers to instruction and promote inclusive environments for diverse needs. Create customized formative assessments and detailed, analytical rubrics that seamlessly integrate “Durable Skills” into AI-enhanced curricula. Evaluate all AI-generated outputs through an ethical workflow to safeguard students, ensuring the final unit plan maintains a human-centered approach and actively enhances teacher creativity.

Think Like a Subject Matter Expert: From Standards to Scope – Building a Math Curriculum Backbone

Think Like a Subject Matter Expertâ„¢ is Course 1 of 3 (plus one bonus course) in the Math Curriculum Developer Pathway, designed for classroom teachers, instructional coaches, instructional specialists, and curriculum supervisors who are new to writing curriculum. Great teaching and subject matter expertise are different skills, and educators are routinely promoted into curriculum work without ever being taught to analyze standards, evaluate rigor, or design a scope and sequence. This course closes that gap and addresses a second, related problem: most curriculum work happens as a pile of disconnected documents, which pushes teachers toward simply following the textbook page by page.
