TCSJ provides information about local food assistance resources, including food banks, pantries, and meal programs. While we do not directly provide food assistance or endorse specific organizations, our goal is to connect you with external options that may help meet your needs. Please explore the available resources and reach out to them directly for more information and support.

- Access FREE food two times per month PLUS an additional time the last Wednesday of the month.

What they offer:
- Provides food to people in need. They have partnerships with local food pantries and mobile food banks. This resource allows you to enter your address and it will populate locations that offer food distribution.

The Edible Schoolyard Project offers several programs to support families in need, particularly through their Stockton Community Farm.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA): They distribute free, local, organic produce to the community. Families can pick up a bag of fresh fruits and vegetables every Wednesday from 10 AM to noon at the farm. - CalFresh, California’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), provides monthly financial assistance to low-income individuals and families to purchase nutritious food. While many college students are generally ineligible for CalFresh, there are specific exemptions that allow certain students to qualify.

- The San Joaquin County USDA Commodity Program, FOOD FOR YOU, provides free food to income-eligible households at the County’s 8 community centers and at multiple volunteer sites throughout the County.
- Individuals must meet residence requirements. Eligibility is based on monthly income and household size. No application or proof of income are necessary; Individuals may self-certify that their income meets the established guidelines.
- Food is distributed monthly at each of our sites. Most distributions occur on the third Thursday of the month. To offer alternatives to our residents, several locations distribute food on alternate days including the second Saturday, third Friday, and last Wednesday of the month. Food at each location is available while quantities last. Visit the find food section for distribution locations and times.
