About This Course

Curriculum is never neutral. Every design decision, what content is centered, whose voices appear in examples, how tasks are scaffolded, what prior knowledge is assumed, either opens doors for learners or quietly closes them. This course is for curriculum developers who want to move beyond surface-level representation and build equity and access into the structure of their work from the very first draft.

Across five modules, you will examine the frameworks, habits of mind, and practical tools that make curriculum genuinely inclusive — not as an add-on, but as a design principle. You will also explore how AI tools can support equity-focused workflows, with honest attention to both the possibilities and the risks. By the end of this course, you will have a concrete set of practices, protocols, and self-assessment tools to bring back to your own curriculum projects.

Target Audience:
  • Educators working on district or department-wide curriculum projects
  • New and early-career developers working as individual contributors
  • Contract curriculum developers working across different organizational structures and processes
