Teaching Mathematical Thinking: Creating a Classroom of Empowered Students

About This Course

This course equips educators with strategies to create inclusive, engaging, and academically rich mathematics classrooms. Participants will learn to connect mathematical content to the unique language needs of multilingual learners, design and implement rich math tasks that promote authentic problem-solving, and foster a growth mindset culture where all students can thrive. Through practical tools and collaborative exploration, educators will develop approaches for establishing vibrant learning environments in which academic discourse is a daily norm, empowering every student to participate, reason, and succeed in mathematics.

This course is offered separately for grade levels TK/K – 10, each including 3 sessions with various beginning and ending dates. All courses will focus on the same strategies, however, they will use grade-level-specific math tasks and examples. Please click “Enroll Now” for a list of dates.
