ELD Standards Institute

The California ELD Standards Institute is designed to familiarize participants with the 2012 California English Language Development standards. Participants will understand the key shifts in the new standards, their alignment to the ELA CCSS, Proficiency Level Descriptors, and resources in the appendices. Additionally, participants will engage in practical classroom application using the ELD standards in tandem with other content standards. This integrated and designated English Language Development includes both a focus on meaning and interaction as well as building knowledge about structures and features of English.
