About This Course
ELEVATE is a college-level professional learning course designed specifically for Visual Arts teachers to strengthen instructional practice through collaboration and engagement with industry professionals. This course provides educators with the opportunity to work alongside peers and industry experts to explore contemporary practices and translate real-world knowledge into meaningful classroom applications.
Through structured collaboration, guided reflection, and applied learning, participants will examine innovative approaches that enhance student engagement and relevance in instruction. Educators will engage in a Community of Practice model to co-develop strategies that integrate real-world connections into teaching and learning.
Emphasis is placed on bridging classroom instruction with authentic industry perspectives, fostering creativity, expanding instructional vision, and strengthening educator leadership capacity.
Participants will design and implement classroom-based applications informed by industry insights and collaborative learning experiences.
Upon successful completion, participants will earn college credit and will leave with practical tools, instructional strategies, and professional connections to support enhanced teaching and student readiness for future pathways.
